As Swabians, we are proverbially renowned for our love of efficiency and closeness with nature, and these attributes rule many of our business decisions. We have been focused on sustainability and “green” policies for many years.
In 2012, we installed a photovoltaic system on our plant roof which will be expanded.
Our company meadow is home and workspace to two beehives.
Following an energy audit in 2019, we are now able to save 92.2 tonnes of CO2 per year, just by changing the lighting system.
A workshop held in 2020 focused on the globally-defined 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. During this event, we discussed the possibilities of implementing these goals in our company and we defined road maps and measures to be taken to achieve realistic and effective solutions.
The “Sustainable Development Goals” apply to everybody: governments worldwide, as well as citizens, businesses and sciences.
Our manufacturing processes with special knitting technology ensure that our products leave the machines without waste. High-waste production steps, such as cutting and customising, have been eliminated, which has also considerably reduced the risk of mistakes and rejects during quality control.
Everybody needs a hobby horse, and our founding patriarch cultivates an organic meadow orchard which supplies our employees with free fruit during harvest time.
